Congressional App Challenge

Each fall, a national web app challenge is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional App Challenge is an opportunity to recognize and encourage students with an interest in coding and computing across the nation.

The 6th District of Florida's Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle and high school students in our District.  The Challenge is intended to highlight the value of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in our educational system.

The 2019 Congressional App Challenge is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience. Students of all skills are strongly encouraged to participate. Students have until Nov. 1 to submit entries.

The winning app of our district's competition will be featured for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The app will also be eligible to be put on House.gov, which averages over 10 million visitors per year. Winning apps are eligible to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building. The winner will also receive Amazon Web Services (AWS) Credits (TBD).
