WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) released the following statement after the Florida Department of Health announced the first presumptive positive case of coronavirus in Volusia County, part of Florida’s Sixth Congressional District: “The Florida Department of Health has announced a presumptive positive case of coronavirus in Volusia County. While the overall risk to the public remains low and it is unlikely most of the population would suffer serious complications from this virus, it’s critical to continue to take appropriate precautions to minimize exposure and spread. I will continue to coordinate with our federal, state and local officials to make sure our community has all the resources necessary to treat, prepare and prevent this virus.” |
