Description: A realistic graphite drawing of two horses fighting. Saturating shades of gray and black show contrast.

2nd Place by Medium - Painting: “Sunny Rural Day
Reina Li, 12th Grade, Father Lopez Catholic High School
Teacher: Lisa Loyd
Description: Description: With the use of colored pencils and acrylic paint, I created a cow art painting that perfectly captures rural way of life. The sculpture has a triangled-shaped composition, with the cow's head at the top and legs making up the base. The compensation is angular shape lends the work a distinctive viewpoint by directing he viewers on the cow’s head. Colored pencils are used to deposit texture of the cow’s brown and white fur, and acrylic paint gives the piece depth and character.

Description: For this piece I used labis paint to make it. The digital art is 3 layers, and I used the digital tools to make it look clean.  I originally made this piece for 9/11 veterans memorial in Ocala to help them remember the heroes of 9/11 and remembrance of what they did for the nation.

Description: My sustained investigation is drawing characters based off songs I like. This piece is based off the song oblivion by Grimes. I used soft brushes and pastes colors. There are small details like strands of hair to make it seem messy. A bottle of pills spilling in the eyes to make the piece relate to mental health.

Description: The duck in this piece is a species known as a wood duck, the sunset behind enhances the naturally colorful bright feathers of the duck.

Description: Album cover inspired by common themes in real album covers that fall under the genre "Drum & Bass". The viewer is below woman who is staring back down at the viewer. The sky is pink and there is a part that is shattered, and eye peaks through the hole. The piece is supposed to feel surreal & dreamy.
