WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Tuesday, the National Federation of Independent Business named U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) a Guardian of Small Business in honor of his support for small businesses in the 116th Congress. “During this difficult time, it’s more important than ever for Congress to back the small businesses which support our economy, create jobs and make our communities unique,” Waltz said. “I’m proud to receive this award, especially as a freshman member of Congress – and I promise to never quit fighting for small businesses in Florida.” The NFIB is the leading advocate for small businesses in America. The Guardian of Small Business is awarded to members of Congress who vote with small business 70 percent or more of the time on key small business issues. NFIB’s vote report, How Congress Voted, includes small business voting record and a list of the key votes that were used to determine the Guardian of Small Business Award. |
