WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, as Ranking Member of the House Research and Technology Subcommittee, Congressman Mike Waltz (FL-6) questioned Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) President Dr. P. Barry Butler about advancing U.S. research and innovation. Daytona-based ERAU has made enormous contributions to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education, and research – and has become a global leader in training premier aviation and aerospace talent, helping bring more innovators and jobs to our area and our country. Noting the rapidly growing STEM industry and increasing investments in space by our greatest adversaries, including China and Russia, Waltz asked ERAU President Dr. P.
