Waltz Appointed to House Intel and Foreign Affairs Subcommittees

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, U.S. Congressman Mike Waltz (FL-6) announced his subcommittee appointments for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC).

“I am pleased to expand my work on national security matters by serving on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) this Congress,” said Waltz. “Our country is facing many threats from adversaries around the world, including the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It is critical we address those threats head-on and hold the Biden Administration accountable for its national security policy.”

Waltz will serve on the House Intelligence Subcommittees on Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency & Cyber. Learn more about the Intelligence Committee and its subcommittees here.

Waltz continued, “As a member of the House Intelligence Subcommittees on Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency & Cyber, I am ready to get to work to ensure our Intelligence Community remains focused on countering the espionage efforts of our foreign adversaries, especially the CCP, and to ensure political motives are not factored into their decision making.”

Waltz will serve on the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittees on Indo-Pacific and Oversight & Accountability. Learn more about the Foreign Affairs Committee and its subcommittees here.

“As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight & Accountability, I am ready to hit the ground running to investigate the Biden Administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and hold those accountable for the deaths of thirteen service members and leaving thousands of Americans and our allies behind enemy lines for dead,” said Waltz. “Americans deserve answers and results — and that is what I will strive to deliver while serving on each of these subcommittees this Congress.”
